STE PAZANNE - OUR TWINNING PARTNER
Ste Pazanne is a small town, half way between Nantes and the west coast of France in the Loire Atlantique - Pays de Retz region. It has a population of over 3,000.
The west of the region borders the Atlantic Ocean, a really lovely area with pretty fishing ports, excellent seafood and nice beaches. The northern boundary is the Loire river. There are a number of vineyards in the area producing a variety of wines which we have the pleasure of sampling.
Ste Pazanne is easily accessible. A two and a half hour drive from the ferry terminal of St Malo or by public transport - direct flights from Gatwick to Nantes or via Eurostar and TGV to Nantes.
WHAT DOES HARROLD TWINNING INVOLVE?
We welcome families, couples or singles from Harrold and its surrounding area to get involved.
Every two years we visit Ste Pazanne as a group for a few days. In alternate years we host the French in Bedfordshire, organising outings and communal events. We do our best to match hosts with guests and offer support during their visit. All we ask is the ability to provide some accommodation and a few meals. We have committee members who can help with any language barriers and can assist with transport and accommodation arrangements.
Alternatively you can just come along and join in the various fund-raising events we organise throughout the year. Please visit our 'Newsletter & Future Events ' page for more details.
